Every student that attends SCSL will participate in life changing courses that aim to foster spiritual growth and to equip the student with practical leadership skills that will help them to have a powerful influence for the Kingdom in any position God may place them. Our schedule is packed with biblical courses from Old and New Testament Survey to Biblical Studies as well as practical and leadership focused courses like Today's Leader, Life Lessons, and Ministry Pragmatics. We strongly believe any student would benefit from taking a season to learn from the seasoned pastors and market place professionals that pour their lives into our students every day.
SCSL students now have the option to chose between two tracks, one that enables them to pursue a degree through a partnership with Southeastern University and one that allows them to participate in the spiritual growth that takes place in the SCSL community without working on or paying for college level courses.
SCSL is a ministry of Christian Life Church that focuses on personal discipleship, character development, and leadership training.
Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. SCSL is not accredited by SACS Commission on Colleges and the accreditation of Southeastern University does not extend to or include SCSL or its students. Students must be admitted by Southeastern University and enrolled in university courses to receive the benefits of regional accreditation.
Through Christian Life's partnership with Southeastern University, students choosing the College Degree Track can further their education as they take part in the culture of spiritual growth here at SCSL. *Note: Because discipleship is a key focus we require all students to live in SCSL housing.
Non-Degree students receive all of the Biblical, Leadership, and Discipleship courses SCSL offers but do not participate in the SEU courses. This track is great for those who do not wish to pursue a degree or have already obtained a degree. This is an opportunity to focus on digging deep spiritual roots without going into any kind of debt. Students that participate in the Non-Degree track leave debt free while still participating in the core biblical classes, being mentored directly in a one on one setting, and gaining practical experience while growing in leadership skills.
District School of Ministry Courses & Berean Bible College Internship
SCSL has partnered with the South Carolina District School of Ministry (DSOM) to help students who feel called into ministry gain their credentials. Non-Degree Track students make take optional classes taken through DSOM enables students to pursue their ministerial credentials through the Assemblies of God church. An internship is required for each level’s completion; this internship is taken through the Berean School of the Bible and is completed at each student’s own pace. A perspective of various aspects of theological and practical ministry issues is provided.
