travel ministry

Have you ever wanted to be a part of creating a culture and marking a generation? These are two things that occur on a normal basis when the SCSL family hits the road. From conferences, to youth services, to Sunday morning worship services, we have been privileged to see the hand of the Lord move in a mighty way.

Although traveling is not the main focus of SCSL, we average ten trips per year to approximately seven different states. Many of our students get to participate in a number of these trips. When we say “road trip” at SCSL there is an automatic excitement and sense of anticipation that fills the air.

When on the road we strive to showcase the talents and abilities of our students. Leading worship, creative communications, personal testimonies, preaching, and altar ministry are some of the ways the gospel is presented. The SCSL family strives to offer many opportunities to gain valuable hands on ministry experience while making a relevant impact on this generation.

creative communications

At SCSL we believe that each individual's gifts and talents are God given and should be used to glorify Him and reach the world. We live in a world that is saturated with various forms of media that leave a lasting impression on our culture. With this in mind, we understand the importance of using our creativity to reach that culture.

Our Creative Communications team is how we strive to accomplish this. We train our students to use their various gifts in dance, percussion, stomp, drama and human video to spread God’s message in ways that today’s culture will understand. It’s not about performing – it’s about allowing God to work through us with the individual gifts that He has given us while continuing to grow those gifts. Our students practice and cultivate their talents on a regular basis, preparing them for the various ministry opportunities they will have throughout the year. We are excited about enabling students whose desire is to minister to today’s culture with the creative gifts God has given them.
